SLc completed capital, tenant, and site work scopes of work for a new dental surgery, dental exam, and general practitioner’s exam rooms and health center for Spectrum Health. This multi-phased / multi-disciplined project transformed the historic Mayfair Theatre space into the 12,000 Sf+/- medical healthcare facility. Spectrum Health is a repeat client for SLc. We have worked on several locations including Spectrum Frankford, Spectrum Haverford, and Spectrum Parking Lot Site in Philadelphia. Steven Ngo of Premier Project Management served as the owner’s representative for these projects.

As part of the capital improvement work, the project included a complete renovation of all common areas—covering four restroom banks, lobbies, elevators, and corridors. Key highlights included the installation of all new HVAC units, as well as full exterior painting, glazing, roofing, and parking lot renovations. The tenant improvements encompassed over 30,000 Sf+/- of executive suites, offices, and more than 200 workstations, ADA-compliant restrooms, conference rooms, breakout rooms, and a commercial kitchen.

SL Commercial Construction is proud of our 50,000sf +/- tenant improvement and capital improvement project for the tenant, the City of Philadelphia Health Department. This design build approach of the new PHD headquarters consists of improving an old empty office / warehouse building into the over 50 renovated and new staff offices, training rooms, conference rooms, meeting areas, restrooms and executive suites including all new paint, flooring and custom millwork throughout. Boomerang Used Furniture and Funky Stuff worked collaboratively with SLc to phase deliver and install over 250 workstations throughout 2 departments and 2 floors. The paving, line striping and EV charge stations were completed by Delaware Valley Paving.

SLc is proud to announce this design-build healthcare veterinary center—this time for Chris Feaster and Valley Veterinary Center of Yardley, one of the most respected veterinary teams in the region. This work encompassed restoring a vacated kennel and vet clinic into a Class A veterinary hospital. With this project, Dr. Chris will now have three hospitals, and we are honored to be involved. The capital improvement scope includes demolition and a full rebuild of the structure, interior spaces, and a crematorium, which marks one of the most complex elements of the project. The tenant improvement for this 4,000 square foot facility includes a lead-lined X-ray room, new exam rooms, offices, and a surgery center.
